My H&M Fashion Edit
There are two items that I always turn to H&M for. T-shirts and dresses. With lockdown dominating Spring and Summer this year I have lived and died in my casual clothes. And now with a holiday looming later this month (fingers crossed we still get to go!) I’ve had enough of wearing the same few summer clothes everyday.
I’ve started to add a lot more white into my wardrobe now, brave with a toddler but life’s to short to worry. There’s always Napisan for complete disasters. So with fingers crossed I’ve selected this cream and taupe striped midi dress with tie belt. I love the simple rolled up sleeves. The V at the front is the perfect length and not so low that you need to worry when you bend over. In terms of sizing I would suggest sizing down as there is plenty of room in it.
These cotton paper bag shorts are perfect for summer. I’m going to pair them with a tie front shirt or tuck a simple round neck t-shirt in. I’m a big fan of white shorts in the summer, especially when thrown over a swimsuit. If you’re looking for something more muted they are available in a variety of colours including beige and black.
My most successful H&M purchase recently was this white maxi dress. It has been very popular and restocked a few times, and although there are only a few sizes left, I thought it deserved a mention. I am currently wearing it with an old suede jacket I’ve had a few years from Mango but you could knot a shirt over it or go for a denim jacket.
Although this straw hat doesn’t have the biggest rim I thought it worth sharing as it comes in three sizes. I have quite a small head (not sure what that says about me!) and consequently I’m always excited when you can buy hats in different sizes. The old rose band is a nice touch to update a summer wardrobe.
